ROSIA BAY - GIBRALTAR
SCUBA DIVING MEMORIAL CENTRE
My second year studies took me to Rosia Bay, Gibraltar. The Bay is Gibraltar's oldest natural harbour and is a site of rich history. The bay once overlooked the battle of Trafalgar, due to the number of shipwrecks and artefacts surrouding the bay it has become a scuba diving hot spot. The military history of gibraltar remains a strong feature and this history surrounds Rosia Bay too. My proposal combined military history and scuba diving through creating a scuba centre with which beautiful stone and glass memorials can be placed on the sea bed providing a path way for divers to follow. The drawings I produced were all ink on trace with photoshop software used for rendering.
My work towards this project featured on the Draftery, an online archive of architectural drawings, the link can be found below.
